  • Mission is to preserve and protect – what does this mean in the context of long term access?
  • Two domains of work around access – public and private – both very different.
  • Private – initial focus should be here; many areas to act as “test beds” for private land management negotiation as we, the Board, enter into this new, unfamiliar realm.
  •  Larger undertakings: HCR & Red Rock Point
  • Current situation: majority of climbing areas on national forest land where permanent access is NOT guaranteed.
  • Conclusion: We do not have enough information to make a decision, we need input from the Access Fund.
  • Test pieces: Lake Lincoln
