Ozark Ramble

Ozark Ramble

The Arkansas Climbers Coalition is hosting a rebolting and trail day at Invasion and the Cowell region and on Saturday, December 2, 2023! I'm reaching out to everyone on our rebolting list to see if you're available to help with the volunteer day. We're looking for experienced developers/rebolters to help with our efforts. If you know of someone that might be interested in helping please send them my way.

The plan is to update aging (non-stainless) hardware with stainless steel bolts. Ideally, we'll go hole-for-hole on most routes. If we have enough experienced volunteers/rebolting teams, the plan is to expand our efforts to nearby crags: Hudson Mtn, The Garden, and Land of the Little People. The ARCC is currently compiling our rebolting list, so if you've been in those areas and noticed any routes that need attention, please let us know.

For trail work, we will focus our efforts on more trail work around Invasion, the trail to Fred's Cave, and possibly Fountain Red.  We will also be installing permanent posts for our 2 wag bag stations in the region.

Meet at Invasion parking lot at 8am, Saturday, 12/2 for a safety briefing and the day's work plan. Dinner, likely burgers and hot dogs/brats, will be provided by the ARCC on Saturday night, plus some beverages from Fossil Cove.

If you are able to attend, please fill out this form so we can start organizing teams:
